RFK Jr.: One Brave Sumbitch
In Boston. |
No matter how you slice it, he is. The chips aren't merely stacked, but towering a la Babylon against Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as he crusades to rip the twisted spine out of the tyrannical hydra poisoning our nation. He seeks to expose corruption in corporations and in the biggest consumer of all life, the War Machine. He wishes to redirect today's partisan anger into useful debate rather than venom. That's brave to do for an American Politician. If he wasn't a Kennedy I'd say he was a poor, hapless bastard. Not because he's wrong, but because he's going to take the rhetorical version of a thermonuclear assault over the course of his campaign. He must know this and he's pushing back irregardless. Already he's painted as a conspiracy theorist and a Putin lover, both death blows. Some may agree with such derogatory things when listening to his town halls and interviews. With the media's ability to pick reptile quick at any possibility of spin through embellishment and ignoring context, he's going to need a lot of verbal defense mechanisms to keep the vultures from their meal.
The first things you hear about RFK have to do with his voice. Even the wiki is like that. It has to be a little daunting having these broadcasters put a neon light on his vocal issues. I sure hope mature voter-taxpayers aren't so superficial that they'd despise him over his voice. I heard Jesse Watters ribbing him about it. Everyone else has mentioned it. We may eventually get past it. It's a little puer, this group of highly successful adults ribbing him over his voice like children at the cool kids' table. No Star-Belly for you, you have gravel in your throat. And the Khmer Rouge didn't like glasses. Go Red Army! He says a lot of great things with that singular voice that I hope will get a big chance to be heard near-future.
He's talking about his vaccine stance with Piers Morgan, a stance that is being spin-cycled into frayed tentacles by the slavering dog journalists of the Swine Media into an idea that all vaccinations are horrible. He and Morgan are also discussing how we don't have to be confrontational when we disagree, nor do we have to compromise our values. That may be true. We'd all like it to be. Most people can't do it, I have my own trouble with it. He claims 16 different fucking vaccines with a 72 dose net? Well, for my own state we have 6 with a number of doses over the course of some years that kids have to take. I'm not sure what state he's discussing. But I looked up the ones for America. It seems strange and also that Fox wasn't lying about kids needing a ludicrous Hepatitis B vaccine. It also seems that if you look into America on the whole, RFK Jr. is not far from the truth. If he embellished a wee bit, well, what pol doesn't? He seems to have taken all the possible shots any child from Anywhere, USA might need to take before going to school and congealed into a single issue. Fuck, we've seen that in politics everywhere, fair enough. Maybe vaccine policies should be looked at. Why the hell not? At any rate I don't see him becoming president and outlawing vaccines no matter what the news would try and make us think. The Fearmongers could safely chill.

A few RFK Jr. messages: persevere without complaining? The news doesn't like that. Complaints are their bread and butter. Create enduring things that elevate the human spirit? Another great message that I'm sure the Swine (en todo) despise. Bridge the toxic polarization and get the politicians and media to maybe chill on appealing to people's baser natures (or dark angels, as he says)? Ye fucking gods, could it truly be that maybe someone wants to oust the Swine? If I'm not mistaken it was Hunter S Thompson who said the Swine will always have their way. But I know if he said that he'd still have loved to be proven wrong. Maybe he'll get that post-homous wish. Is that nuts to want to believe...or is it brave? Watching, I savvy RFK Jr. has an iron set of proverbial balls and a thoughtful disposition tempered with the grace necessary to field heckling news jackals. That's a big bonus. Fucking no one else has that, not even public messiah Donald J. Trump. Trump just tells everyone to get bent with his thumb up their ass. More balls than brains. No judgment, I get that. Trump has a very phlegmatic way of doing it but that's how he rolls at root and we have had quite a lot of versions of that attitude leading this country for long years. As RFK Jr. develops his political style and public skills, I believe he'll make a far better speaker than anyone running today.
About JFK's killing: this isn't the first time I've heard the claim made. Long ago I had a guitar teacher, one Robert Hansel, who was a member of the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra. His teacher was a prisoner of Castro's, and regaled Mr. Hansel with his story. The guitarist's capture was, essentially, JFK's fault in the guitarist's eyes and he claimed to Mr. Hansel that this backing out of the fight against Castro is why JFK was killed. This guitarist fucking hated JFK. The conversation started when I told Mr. Hansel during a session that I thought JFK didn't get a fair shot at leading this country, and that was his rebut. This is 24 years ago I suppose? I was 22. To hear RFK Jr. saying it to the public now is a bit mind-blowing. Every time I hear him talk about it, I think of Mr. Hansel telling me about how his old teacher muffled his acoustic soundboard with a pillow while he was in the prison camp. I never forgot about that and now I'm very glad I didn't.
There's more already written; I'll chop it for now by saying this: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has an uphill battle before him. It's gearing up to be Hamburger Hill. I'm watching Michael Smerconish give RFK Jr. the business about that in this month-old interview. And Elizabeth Vargas grilled him, too, a couple weeks ago. He fenced them well although his interview with Smerconish leaves me hoping he develops better interviewing skills. It is apparent that RFK is still learning how to politic. Many minds upon hearing that would call such newness a good thing, a possible indication of just the right amount of albedo, which is white energy. It is neophyte energy, a thing most wise men always sought to keep.
And the new Kennedy's words on Biden...
"I think I have a good chance at becoming the nominee because my numbers have a better chance of beating the Republicans than his."
In other words, Biden's fucked if the Dems have a brain.
Way to go, and I believe it's true. Biden is a crook. If the Dems even want to so much as keep their political party they'd be stupid not to go ahead with RFK Jr. on the ticket. Sadly, they are producing quite a few loud, stupid, bombastic and opportunistic dystopians who seem to lose IQ points merely by breathing so...who knows. We will see.
We always do in the end.
