RFK Jr.: One Brave Sumbitch 2
"Freedom is something that dies unless it is used." |
Happy (now belated) Birthday, Doc. This is me trying to honor you by not being a phony, maybe. Why else would a miserably failed writer give a damn to write about anything social? A shit phoenix act? Maybe I just feel like I ought to. It sounds like you might agree. So I quote you, the same quote the man of tonight's treatise used here. What follows was inspired by it, and others.
I do believe RFK Jr. loves America. If you live here, you kind of have to, don't you? The people that hate it wind up looking disgusting and most of them don't even know what they hate, they just hate shit. Others of us vacillate, having a love and hate relationship with our country, but many of us just think and say what the News says. RFK Jr. talks of existentialism, bringing order to the universe through service in the face of chaos, and ways to do so. I agree, but that's not the same as doing it--at the risk of pretense, I try my best to at least not sit on my hands small scale with these Twisted Treatises. Why?
Knowing the history of other countries both bloodied and more tyrannical than ours, it is kind of hard not to, especially while watching our country nudge closer to becoming Nazi Germany or Maoist China. All news media handing out dunce caps. An economy run into the ground. Riots not for free love or against war, but just for the hell of it. A rain of the very dope Wiliam Burroughs warned against in Naked Lunch flooding the streets. Knowing the matrix-like utopian Venus Project* isn't just Q-Anon bullshit for anyone can see it now. Robot slaves, or owners? Seeing how it could lead to genocide, even extinction. Impossible-to-pay debts dictated by updated land barons called banks...for they control the landlords. Private Jet Fatbacks and the hubris-diseased AI Billionaires who seek to puppet you for the Tyrants with a brain chip, all this spending attributed to the common dipshit instead of the aforementioned swine, which is where it belongs. That's called a hustle. Stop falling for it.
"Give me liquid credit for R+D, I'll give you RC people. Don't like em? Just turn em off." |
Goddammit, how do people keep missing this stuff? Do you all hate each other so much? Do you really think that you or I, the provincial, even makes a fucking dent in the spending that goes on in our nation? Have you ever looked up military spending? Does it not occur to you that a billionaire yacht might have gone to much deserved employee raises but instead, pft, big boat! That doesn't bug you? No, what bugs you is some poor single mother's need for Ramen, some ex-junky cunt on food stamps, THAT'S who's raising the debt! Oh wait, no, it's the student loans which you know fuck all about. Do you know how these things work? Did you know the IRS will TAKE that shit until it's paid?Betcha didn't know that, bud. I do. I know it all too well because that's how I've been paying it over the years. But do you really buy this hate-your-neighbor bullshit? Only we, the nobodies, are suffering, not them, I promise you. And if that sounds a bit Karl Marx, well, the old twat wasn't 100% wrong.
Yet our old American values, the ones that pre-date corruption (yeah, I know you gotta go WAY back) HAVE BEEN beneficial to other nations. Do I believe in what Manly Hall called our "secret destiny" which is like Neocon Globalism without the Plutonian bloodshed? Not with the leadership we've had over the past 25 years, I don't. Maybe RFK Jr. could help change my opinion and by proxy my faith in the nation. Right now I imagine only rivers of blood and whole fleets of camouflaged corpses. Bombs going off inland. Cartels igniting, broken heads in the streets, riots, violence, drug-fueled rage.
Cops, criminals, and hyperactive children are clashing in the streets over it all like they did at Kent State, or at the old Chi-town DNC or during the gang wars in Bucktown in the early 90's. Oh yes, it HAS happened before, bubba. It has. Maybe just not on your doorstep. It's too easy to forget that your doorstep is not everyone's doorstep. And maybe even harder to give a shit when you remember, for some.
With all this why should any candidate, much less a guy we know little about, give me hope? I guess I want to have it. I see him giving a lot of consideration to the corruption in the government, and unlike with the Republicans his rhetoric isn't myopic, that is to say, he doesn't just accuse the GOP, but also the Dems. That, in my view, makes him more right for office. I have not seen Trump doing that. I've only seen him warmonger.
[As an aside, speaking of guns--
RFK Jr. is facing what Hunter Thompson faced, what some others face, what I will face when this turns into something more. The 'Spiracy Curse. When the Swine Media begins to ruthlessly smear you with sophomoric insults and sweep your facts under the rug for the crime of probing corruption. RFK Jr. has vouchsafed many facts for which he has documentation that no one wants to look at and would rather ignore and cynically decry, like a high school sophomore would. That's a stupid thing to do. Can I prove that such knee-jerk cynicism is not only dumb, but dangerous?
Well, one claim I make often is that the Swine, be they red or blue, want to round up the homeless and execute them. Once this is done, they will come for folks like me who are a mere step above said homeless. By the time that is done, they will have automated all menial production/artwork. Soon after that, they won't need chefs. They won't need customer service agents. It don't be long until doctors go. What that means is that the Elite won't need YOU. So guess what? Soylent Green. But that couldn't happen. Sounds dumber n'shit, like tin foil hat shit.
Right?
Read this Psychology Today article and decide for yourself.
So RFK Jr. faces said knee-jerk critique on the grandest possible scale. Never mind that for now, we know what that means. A better question is can the current Kennedy stop (or at least mitigate, I doubt there any stopping them anymore) dystopian agendas from fruiting in tyrannical ways? It'd be presumptuous to say, and I hesitate to trust. But could Trump? DeSantis? HA! They won't. Either man would gleefully be the first to sign the Soylent Option in my book. Furthermore, that the GOP banded much of its troops together to support Trump in squatting the White House is a move right out of the Mein Kampf playbook. What that basically says is, "Fuck you all, we run this bitch." You do NOT WANT politicians who think like that in the White House. Putin thinks like that, get it?
I know. You're thinking of the wokists. I said last time that RFK Jr. isn't a wokist, that true blue liberals are not wokists. If you missed that, look here.
And fuck me, this is already too long. I about broke my promise, dammit, to talk about what he plans for the addict crisis. In short, he would federalize cannabis and use the money to open big rehab centers that will be accessible to all and not just the wealthy. More than just throwing suboxone and methadone around. Like what the fuck did more opiates ever solve? Even Burroughs knew better. And I have a stake in that, not that I need one anymore (I believe) but I might like to work in addiction counseling some day. I also said these ideas would be stolen. If anyone wants to beat him, they'll have to steal it. Like it or not we addicts are getting our voice back and we want to help, and fuck anyone who doesn't like that idea. Seriously. Get over yourself. Addicts vote, too.
This ends here, but I have a final thought to finish, like a preview.
There's something I've wondered for a while. It's the same thing some of the bastards on Fox have wondered and I can't help it myself, if people like AOC aren't plants. It's like some of these fucks took a class called "How To Fake American Politics 101" and got shuffled into office by a higher power, such as a cartel. That's going to require I look into things before I write. Guess who else had a like idea. Yep. The man of this evening's focus. I don't know if I'm done writing about him. For now, yes, and for the near future. There's a lot to cover.
